Geneva – Gstaad – Lucerne – Zermatt – Montreux – Geneva (or in reverse)

Day 1

Overnight stay in Geneva

Highlights: Water fountain Jet d'eau, European headquarters of the UNO, Place du Bourg-de-Four - the oldest square in the city, "Horloge Fleuri" - the clock made of flowers in the English Garden, Lake Geneva

Day 2

Geneva - Gstaad / approx. 235km

Journey from Geneva to Gstaad via Lausanne and Fribourg. Overnight stay in Gstaad.

Highlights: lympic museum in Lausanne, Fribourg with its medieval charm, journey through the region of La Gruyère, chalet village of Gstaad.

Day 3

Gstaad - Lucerne / approx. 315km

Drive from Gstaad via Interlaken to Lucerne. Overnight stay in Lucerne.

Highlights: Interlaken with views of the Eiger, Mönch and Jungfrau, excursion to Bern, excursion to the Brienzer Rothorn, Chapel Bridge in Lucerne

Day 4

Lucerne - Zermatt / approx. 178km

Journey from Lucerne over the Furka Pass to Täsch. Journey continues by train to Zermatt. Overnight stay in Zermatt

Highlights: Chapel bridge in Lucerne, excursion to Pilatus, Rigi or Stanserhorn, Furka Pass at 2,429 m above sea level, Aletsch glacier

Day 5

Zermatt - Montreux / approx. 150km

Train journey from Zermatt to Täsch. Journey continues by car via Leysin to Montreux. Overnight stay in Montreux.

Highlights: Gornergrat Railway, Aigle, 360° restaurant on the Berneuse (2'048m) in Leysin, Chillon Castle in Montreux, Charlie Chaplin World Montreux

Day 6

Montreux - Geneva / approx. 95km

 

Journey from through the Lavaux wine region past Lake Geneva to Geneva.

Highlights: Lavaux wine-growing region, Olympic capital Lausanne, boat trip on Lake Geneva, Musée d'art moderne et contemporain in Geneva
